A Crafty Escape: Pillowcase Dresses for Africa
Hi all! I just saw this post on one of my favorite Crafting websites. I love this blog because the author is so good at what she does and is not afraid to try new things! So enough "gushing" about her and her blog!
I love this idea and it is something that even a beginner sewer like me can do! I also just found this website www.pillowcase.net where you can buy pillow cases by the dozen - they are not pretty necessarily, but with some neat ribbons and some extra fabric scraps, could make for some pretty simple dresses. One of the ladies who commented on the post also went to the trift store to buy pillow cases....another good idea!
If you are interested in brushing up on your sewing skills or just want an excuse for a craft outlet, what a great way to do something nice for someone else at the same time! I encourage you to participate or at least pass it along for others to know about this project as well.
